Rebecca Stover-Kunkle; Owner/Stylist

From bright lights to small town, Rebecca was once leading the industry as one of New York City’s elite men’s stylists. Previously the creative director and lead stylist at New York City’s Truman’s Gentlemen’s Groomers, described by Details magazine as more of a “4-star hotel than a salon,” and featured by GQ Magazine as “The Barbershop Reinvented.”

She has built a strong reputation for her precision styling skills, dynamic personality, and client dedication. Rebecca’s creativity and expertise are still in high demand by her clients – when living in New York she had a diverse list of celebrities and sophisticated business executives. She is considered a top specialist and an expert in her field. Understanding that her clients value their image and self-esteem as well as a consistent service, Rebecca is committed to achieving results that make men and women feel and look great with all-natural products.

Rebecca has trained under renowned co-founder and lead trainer of John Frieda salons Rick Haylor and has been invited to style at high-end fashion shows with him. She has been interviewed by numerous press outlets to discuss topics from men’s hairstyles to the latest style and product trends, including The New York Times Travel Guide, Playboy, Absolute Magazine, Vanity Fair, Men’s Health and The Good Life magazines. While her career was taking off she reported about the newest hair trends for men on FoxNews.com for their online men’s summer guide. Rebecca also serves as a consultant, most notably working with BBDO Worldwide on a Gillette product launch advertising campaign. Rebecca appeared as a stylist on episode of “NYC Prep,” a  Bravo reality television series that follows the lives of private-school students.

Prior to Truman’s, Rebecca excelled at New York City’s men’s styling salon John Allan’s, becoming their fastest growing professional stylist. Rebecca was very instrumental in the 2005 launch of John Allan’s new club at Saks Fifth Avenue and was invited by John Allan’s to style men’s hair for a New York City Hugo Boss runway event, during Fashion Week. She also represented John Allan’s by styling at smaller shows, and has worked with trendy department store Barneys CO-OP.

Born and raised in York, Penn., at age 18, Rebecca moved to Philadelphia to earn her cosmetology license from Jean Madeline Aveda Institute. She has earned an apprentice barber license from the American Barber Institute and participated in advanced courses at Redken 5th Avenue as well as Eufora International.
